Paint Louis 2026 Recap: 29 Years of Art and Culture
Paint Louis 2026 on the St. Louis riverfront was another incredibly successful weekend of art, music, and culture. This year marked the 29th anniversary for the long-running festival, which is billed as the largest graffiti festival in the world. Over the past weekend, thousands of fans came to watch artists from around the world create vibrant and unique pieces on the floodwall stretching south of the Arch grounds. While there, visitors were treated to the experience of watching artists create works in real time, along with musical acts such as The Beat Junkies, Expansion Team Soundsystem, and Rah Digga.
As for next year, Bryan Walsh, the festival’s Artist Coordinator and owner of Fifteen Windows Gallery on Cherokee, said that “Organizers and artists alike are already anticipating the 30th Anniversary.” With it being such a momentous anniversary, St. Louisans are pretty much guaranteed that next year’s event will be one to remember. Walsh expects artists from far and wide will be coming to St. Louis for next year’s festival. “Paint Louis expects to continue the international aspect of the festival too. This year, artists were again in attendance from Canada, Australia, Japan, Mexico, and all across the U.S., of course,“ Walsh continued.
The artwork remains accessible and viewable year-round by taking Chouteau Ave. east past Broadway.
