“Centripetal Force” Pulls Street Energy into Fifteen Windows Gallery
Artists PHERS and TIMBER are joining forces to create “Centripetal Force,” a two-person exhibition at Fifteen Windows Gallery. The exhibition brings together work from both artists—painting, sculpture, and installation—in a focused exploration of geometry, precision, and motion.
Both artists have their roots as graffiti writers but express themselves through distinctly different styles. PHERS is from St. Louis and TIMBER is from Cincinnati, but both have worked with gallery owner Bryan Walsh and have previously participated in Paint Louis.

PHERS’s work is mixed media—mainly black-and-white paintings on a variety of surfaces and shapes such as built boxes and items found in thrift stores. As a foil, TIMBER’s work is presented on more traditional canvas but with vibrant color palettes that contrast PHERS’s monochrome tones.
“The two-person format works really well for the space, and I think their work is compatible and contrasting in a way that is visually appealing,” Walsh said.
Walsh stated that the pair worked together to curate the gallery, arranging more than 30 pieces that complement one another. All works will be for sale at accessible prices.
The opening of “Centripetal Force” will be held at Fifteen Windows Gallery (3155 Cherokee St., St. Louis, MO 63118) on Saturday, October 11, from 6–10 p.m., and will feature the music soundscapes of BIKO (fka Needles). Private viewings can also be arranged in advance by contacting the gallery directly.
