GAMBLING
He was just a money hunter
Doing any kind of job to get money exception of Gambling
He bowed not to step his feet in any betting Company
One day, I found him checking the ticket
This was something beyond a Miracle to me
Overambitious mind drove him to be a punter
Anytime he got some cash
He thought of how to grow them in rush
He turned his life to gambling
He later found his success path rambling
He would put a high stake
For hasty richness’s sake
He tried his fortune in lottery
But was only moving along the rotary
His entry at casino
Burned his money like an inferno
He thought awaiting himself was good luck
But came a very serious lack
WE ARE NOT IMPRESSED
South Sudan problems get complex daily
Our daily experiences keep us perplexed
We daily see things that are beyond miracles
With so much resources, we are blessed
But some of our leaders only for themselves invest
Building skyscrapers, duplexes and estate
Giving their children educations of the west
Leaving great potentials here in waste
They give zero damn about our interest
They promised to take us out of mess
But we are only sinking into deeper mess
We are in cordial affairs with joblessness
Poverty and lack keep us in distress
I and 99 other South Sudanese have lost confidence
We the citizens, are not impressed
We suffered in pain, thrive in distress
But our pain and distress, we can’t express
How about what was professed?
We were promised that citizenry would be first
And we voraciously ingested and did digest
This nation is currently like a kingdom of Darkness
We are shut from electricity kindness
Our electric bulbs filled with emptiness
Our roads are all perforated and depressed
If we opt take to street to protest
To our anger and pour and dissatisfactions express
Our voice is silence
