Despite the heat, the 4th of July holiday weekend brought people out across the region. From south St. Louis County to East St. Louis, voters also used the patriotic holiday to make their voices heard on important issues.

Thousands of demonstrators attended the downtown St. Louis “No Kings” protest on Saturday. The nationwide day of protest served as a platform for people to express their dissatisfaction with numerous policies of the Trump administration.
Despite Saturday’s rain, over two hundred demonstrators marched in downtown St. Louis, advocating for science-based policies, environmental protection, and the preservation of scientific research funding.
Protesters rallied in downtown St. Louis on March 28th, calling attention to the continuing violence in Gaza. The next day, protesters returned to Tesla’s Chesterfield location to voice their opposition to Elon Musk’s controversial role in federal layoffs.
Members of the National Association of Letter Carriers and supporters protested in downtown St. Louis against the Trump administration’s plans to privatize the postal service.
