Holidays On The High Road

2025 has certainly been interesting, in the dreaded “may you live in interesting times” curse kind of way. We were taught that if you don’t have anything nice to say, you shouldn’t say anything at all, so…yeah. The less said, the better because we’re not trying to insult 2025 and get next year mad at us, too. Y’know?
A bright spot of the year has been the music we’ve gotten to share with you, and the time we’ve gotten to spend enjoying it together. We want to end the year right by doing it one more time, so your friends at Sonic Gallery are giving away tickets to a show we think is cool and want to see you at.
On Monday, December 15th, world-renowned poet/rapper R.A.P. Ferreira, aka Milo, aka Scallops Hotel, is bringing his Takes The High Road tour to Pop’s Blue Moon (5249 Pattison Ave) along with Crow Billiken, a blues musician who will be very familiar to fans of Ferreira’s music. Along for the trip down the road that evening will be one of STL’s best artists, the polymath perpetual motion machine 18andCounting, who is always up to something new and exciting, and opener thatdudechandler.
Every fan of philosophy, hip-hop, and/or cool beats will want to be in attendance that night, but a lucky few will get to go for free! All the information on how to get entered for the giveaway (along with lots of local STL music for you to discover) is waiting for you on the Sonic Gallery Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/sonicgallerystl ) or email sonicgallerystl@gmail.com for the rules. Call it a holiday gift, or a final attempt at fighting the terrible tide of 2025 with a little love and generosity; either way, you should check it out.
We’ll see you at the show!
